I guess she was pretending to be a bull or something. Strange.
Partial family snapshot.
Family snapshot.

Ah, the piano. It took them less than three seconds to fight over this. I hope that there is enough piano for everyone.

Grill #1 got these really neat finger puppets.

The grills enjoying all their new stuff.
Grill #1 really liked this book my friend wrote. What a nice gift!!!!
Santa helped mommy make a nice snuggly quilt.

Santa liked the food and treats. YUMMY!!

This morning two very special little girls popped out of bed and smelled presents in the air. Grill #1 and Grill #2 went nuts and opened all of their presents.

Grill #1 being grill #1.
Big sister eats the cake like it's her last meal.

Birthday girl tries the cake.

Blowing out the candles.

Layers!

Yesterday, a very special little girl turned two. This was a nice cake that the wife made. The kids loved it.
Skittles!!

Half of the sprinkles go on the cookies, and I guess the other half go in her mouth.

Blue and green zoanthids.
This is some sort of sponge. It's like a free filter for my tank.
This is my first decent shot of a feather duster. This thing is cool to watch.

This snail lives in the sand. It only comes up when I feed the tank.

A few more reef shots because I was bored.

Sharing is caring!!!

The girls enjoyed home made hot coco. Mine was supposed to be the white mug. They work quick and they work in groups. I never got any.

We just got hammered with snow and might get more. Grill #1 really wanted to play in the sand box.

Making cookies. They worked really hard on these.

These are called featherdusters. They are worms with modified gills that feed on small particles in the water. I have around a billion of them in my tank. I named them all.

I forget what kind of mushrooms these are, but they are cool and blue/purple.

Random mound of zoanthids. I love these guys!

This is one of the more peaceful hermit crabs. This is a scarlet reef hermit. I have four of them in my tank.

This is a nice but aggressive yellowtail damsel. I'd take this guy out of my tank, but that is mission impossible.

This is a hairy mushroom magnified many times taken under actinic lighting.

This is an emerald crab. This is one of the few "real" crabs that I consider to be reef safe. Some crab species are fine when they are small and then become destructive as they mature.

I am back at photographing the tank. I have a real macro lens now and I have been trying to test it out.

This This pretty much sums up the last few weeks. I came up with this idea while watching Operation Repo. I want to start a Operation Repo fan club.

Grill #1 made this Santa ornament at school. It's the nicest one on the tree.

My house!!
Ricordea. Expensive and worth it.
Some sort of green polyps. This was one of my first corals.

Lord of Rings Acanthastrea. Another really cool looking one under this lighting.

This is red lobophyllia with its sweeper tentacles out. I took these while I was feeding the tank.

This is duncan coral. Really cool under this lighting, obviously.

These are blue ice zoanthids and some other green guys.

This is fruit punch Acanthastrea. This is the nicest looking coral in my tank, but this picture does not illustrate exactly how cool it really is.

Green star polyps.

Neon blue Calastrea.

This is where things get cool. My tank has a set of blue lights that come on a for a dusk/dawn effect. Everything flouresces under these lights. I tried to capture the effect, but it looks much better in person. This is unfortunately tricky metering for my camera. Enjoy!!
